New platform from OnlyFans founder that will "impact the entire influencer economy"

Tim Stokely, founder and former CEO of sexual content sharing site OnlyFans, has launched a platform that targets the entire "influencer" economy.
The tech entrepreneur says that this platform, which he calls Subs, will enable content creators of all kinds to create their own communities and gain subscribers, and that it is a brand-friendly and producer-focused platform.
As a mobile-first platform, Subs features include a discovery feed that helps creators reach new audiences; a “shows” section that shares long-form videos, podcasts and series; and audio and video calling options that enable real-time conversations with subscribers.
Content creators can also share their income by collaborating with other users.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Subs offer a YouTube-style viewing experience with its “shows” feature, but the creator’s paid profile is located just behind the video.
Viewers can unlock exclusive content, message creators, or schedule a video call with just one click. The platform claims to make it easy for creators and celebrities to quickly convert followers into paying subscribers.
The "explore" section of the platform has an interface similar to Instagram, with images arranged in a grid.
Using this design and features, Stokely wants the platform to appeal to professional agencies as well.
"Subs is not about chasing trends, it's about building real careers," Stokely told tech site WIRED.
"Subscriptions are not about a single type of content, each creator has their own potential."
"KYLIE JENNER WOULD HAVE EARNED $20 MILLION"
“ There’s a clear demand for a subscription platform that gives creators everything they need in one place,” Stokely said in a press release about the new platform. “Creators were telling me what they wanted, and that’s exactly what we built with Subs. It’s not just for one type of creator, it’s for all creators.”
“If Kylie Jenner converted just 0.5 percent of her Instagram followers into $10-a-month paying subscribers, she would make approximately $20 million a month in revenue from subscriptions alone.”
MADE AN OFFER TO TIKTOK
In April, another content platform Stokely co-founded, Zoop, made an offer to buy TikTok’s U.S. operations from its Chinese owner ByteDance, along with cryptocurrency foundation HBAR.
But Stokely is currently focused solely on the Subs model.
According to the Economist, 57 percent of Gen Zers say they want to be an influencer, but there are already more than 50 million influencers and content creators in the industry globally.
